Nothing is more important to you, staff and the governing body than the protection of your pupils. Parents who responded to Parent View unanimously believe that their children are safe in school. (Ofsted, May 2016)
The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding that is given to schools for the purpose of improving the provision of PE and Sports for the benefit of pupils and to give them the opportunity to develop a healthy lifestyle.
Please see the reports below which detail the funding received , how it has been spent at our school and the impact it has had over the last 3 years:
We pride ourselves on the extensive range of further sporting opportunities for our pupils. Throughout the year, there are many and varied opportunities for children to represent the school in Inter-School competitions. We aim to enter every event possible and to involve as broad a range of pupils as possible to take part.
For the academic year 2019-2020, using some of the premium to provide additional booster sessions for those children in UKS2 who could not swim the expected 25m, resulted in 91% of our Y6 children (32/35) achieving this NC expectation. Our swimming teacher was very proud and impressed by the improvements of the Year 6 pupils and how their swimming skills developed over the year.
Unfortunately, swimming was not allowed during the 2020-2021 year due to Covid restrictions. We have re-started swimming this academic year in UKS2.
